While casinos may add to, or alter, the prescribed procedures, this page is designed to show that this bet is relatively easy for the dealers and floor people to learn and operate.

Dealer Procedures

For normal play: Spin the wheel and ball in the normal manner. The dealer announces "No More Bets", presses the "No More Bets" button locking out late jackpot bets. If the Caribbean Stud style drop slot system is used, the tokens drop into the bucket. The dealer gets the tokens from the bucket, spreads them, compares the count to the count displayed on his panel, then stacks them into the bank while the ball spins.

After the spin: The dealer places the dolly marker on the position hit, rakes the losing bets, and pays the winners as usual. If the Let It Ride style illuminated circle system is used, the dealer rakes those jackpot bets as well, regardless of the outcome.

For a non-repeat spin: After raking and paying, the dealer moves the indicator on the 'slide rule' to mark the number and presses the "No Repeat" button to unlock the jackpot token acceptors.

For the first repeat: Place the Level 1 "Hit It Again" marker next to the slide rule. Press "Repeat" on the dealer's console. If the casino allows late jackpot gets, this unlocks the token acceptor.

Continue: The dolly marker is removed to open the regular betting for the next spin, as per usual.

For the next repeat: Call a floor person. Rake losers and pay winners. Place the next "Hit It Again" marker next to the other marker. Press the "Repeat" button. Continue as above.

When a repeat is not followed by another repeat: Rake losers and pay winners as usual. Press the "No Repeat" button. The display will indicate the level and how much to pay to each player. For Level 1 and 2, it is preferred to partially pay this with jackpot tokens. Remove the "Hit It Again" markers, slide the indicator to the new number on the slide rule, and press the "Win Paid" button.

For a Level 3 or Level 4 payout: Continue as above for other bets, but wait for surveillance approval, and W-2G forms, before pushing the jackpot payouts to the players, and before removing the dolly marker to open the betting for the next spin. While waiting, allow players that weren't participating in the jackpot to color in. After paying, remove the dolly marker, press the "Win Paid" button to unlock the token acceptor, then remove the "Hit It Again" markers.

Floor Person Procedures

For the second repeat: Ask the players that are in the jackpot to identify themselves. Make sure it's the same number as illuminated jackpot betting positions. Call surveillance for possible review, or if there is a discrepancy of the number of participants.

For the third repeat: Tell jackpot players that they will need to provide ID and player cards after the next spin.

After the fourth repeat - or miss: Call the cage for W-2G forms, and large cheques, etc. Collect and process ID and player cards, etc.

If it's a Level 4 payout, call management or Public Relations for photos and oversize souvenir checks. Since all players receive the full jackpot value, a souvenir check should be drawn for each player, as well as a group check, with a Grand Total of the Level 4 payment times the number of participants, to be used for a group photo. This check is payable to 'Table # ___ Jackpot Participants' and the players can autograph it. Afterwards, the check can be hung in the roulette pit.

Dealer's Control Panel

This small panel has several buttons, one key switch, and a single line display, scrolling and/or alternating long info. Although upside-down, the display is large enough to be easily read by players in the closest betting positions.

No More Bets: If using the Caribbean Stud style drop slot system, this will drop the tokens and lock out the token acceptors to new bets. The display will show "_ Players". If there is a discrepancy, call the floor and announce "No Spin". If using the Let It Ride style illuminated circle system, the color will change and the sensors will not detect any additional bets.

No Repeat: This unlocks the drop slot token acceptor, or enables the illuminated circle's sensor after a spin that is not a repeat. If the spin followed a repeat, the display will show the amounts to be paid to the first participant. Otherwise, the display shows "Bets now accepted."

Repeat: The Display shows "Level _ - _ Players". If there were players with qualifying late bets, the display will alternate showing the player count for both levels.

Win Paid: The display will show the next player's payment. After the last player has been paid, the token acceptor will unlock. The display shows "_ Winners paid" and "Bets now accepted."

Lamp Test: For as long as the button is held down, all of the token sensors will sequentially display all of the colors. This will help when a player claims to have made a bet and their sensor is not lit.

Button Sequence: Except for the 'Lamp Test', only the next logical buttons will be accepted. I.E. After 'No More Bets', the next button must be 'No Repeat' or 'Repeat'. Everything else is ignored. After any repeat, only another 'Repeat' or 'No Repeat,' and then only 'Win Paid' until all winners have been paid.

Reset / Override Key Switch: Insert the key and turn it momentarily. The previous key pressed is ignored - it works like a backspace key. The display reverts to the prior information. Turn it momentarily again, and the button before that is ignored, and the display reverts one more time, etc. If the key is turned while the display is showing the number of coins in, the next display will include "Return _ coins" and the lights on the token acceptors will flash rapidly. At this point, the 'No Win' button must be pressed to unlock the token acceptors and stop the lights from flashing. If the key is turned one more time, and the prior key being backspaced was 'Win Paid', the display will show the amount to pay. In this manner, you can continue to backspace as much as necessary. You can also hit keys to go forward as necessary - players will need to reinsert the tokens if they had been returned.
