Progressive Payout

Casinos will have the option to use a progressive pay system, where the jackpot starts at some specified amount, and increases a set amount with each bet, with set payments for Level 1 and 2 payouts, and a percentage for Level 3. All of these can be set to the casino's desired amount.

Extensive analysis determined that the ideal starting payment for a Level 4 payout should be $50,000, 4% of the Jackpot is to be paid to Level 3 winners, and a 16.5¢ increment for the Progressive Jackpot Payment. Because all participating players will get paid the same full amount, the progressive payout increments 16.5¢, whenever at least one player at the table is participating, and regardless of the number of participating players.

The following chart shows the expected average payout at each point. Assume a repeat occurs every 38 spins. For every 38 repeats, 37 are Level 1 and do not proceed to level 2. A double repeat occurs every 1,444 spins. Of those, on average there will be 37 Level 2 double repeats that do not also get the third repeat, and one that does achieve the Level 3 triple repeat. Similarly, on average there will be 37 Level 3 triple repeats that does not get the fourth repeat and one that does achieve the Level 4 Jackpot Quadruple Repeat.

Therefore, on average, every 54,872 spins there will be a Level 3 payout. The Jackpot increments 16.5¢ for each spin, so on average $9,053.88 will have been added by the time the Level 3 win occurs.

The Jackpot Payout decreases by the amount of the Level 3 payout each time Level 3 is achieved with at least one player participating. Note that ALL participating players are paid the full Level 3 payout, but the Jackpot Prize is reduced only once, regardless of the number of participating players.

A Level 1 or Level 2 payout has no effect on the Jackpot total. The total paid for Level 1 and 2 shown and the bottom of this chart, is based upon 53,428 Level 1 wins of $20 and 1,406 Level 2 wins of $250 occurring during the same period.

While it is unlikely, it is hypothetically possible for the 5 repeats required for Level 4 to not occur for very long periods. Assuming the Level 3 payoff remains at an average occurrence every 54,872 spins, then after an additional 100 Level 3 payoffs, the 4% amount will be only $1 less than the $9,053.88 increment. I.E. At that point, the Jackpot has almost stabilized. After another hundred Level 3 payoffs, it will stabilize at only 1¢ less than the increment.

50% Probability Payout

As was mentioned on the standard payout page, the above chart is based upon the statistical average. The Probability & Statistics section of the math page says that there is a 50% chance of a Level 4 win in only 1,445,305.79 spins. Other levels continue to hit at more, or less the same frequency as the above chart. Therefore the charts are identical until the end:

Multiple Winners

As mentioned above, all participants at a table are paid the full payment amount. This is NOT a shared payout.

The progressive jackpot is incremented by a flat 16.5¢ every time at least one player has made a Hit It Again bet. While this means that the actual contribution varies, the number of players participating when it hits will vary as well.

Different Betting Values

As mentioned on the Betting page, it is recommended that this bet be limited to $1 on the main floor and $5 in the high limit area, but with one jackpot calculation for the entire casino. The display in the high limit area should either show a jackpot of five times the amount shown on the main floor, or the same amount as on the main floor with a "per $1 bet" annotation. Therefore, when at least one player at a high limit table is participating, the contribution to the progressive is still 16.5¢
